Investment guides

Tools, information and guided paths to start and develop your investment in Campania.

This section of the portal is designed to accompany investors in the first steps of their investment journey in Campania, offering clear, reliable and results-oriented guidance.

Start your business

An investor wishing to start a business in Italy should first assess the most suitable corporate form for their business. This choice varies depending on the nature of the activity to be carried out (production and/or marketing, provision of services, or promotion and representation) as well as the financial resources available for investment.

Filiale

Subsidiary

A subsidiary is an independent legal entity under Italian law that is fully controlled, or partially owned, by the foreign investor. The foreign investor who establishes its own subsidiary in Italy may choose among the various legal forms provided by the Civil Code.

Succursale

Branch

Unlike a subsidiary, which has its own legal personality, a branch operates as an extension of the parent company. The parent company is responsible for its operations, but the profits of the branch are taxed in the country where the activity is carried out.

Ufficio di rappresentanza

Representative Office

A representative office does not have its own legal personality independent from the foreign parent company and may be involved exclusively in marketing activities or other non-commercial activities.

Register your business

In Italy, all the procedures required to register a company can be completed online through a single process: Single communication. Through one single submission, the company registers with:

  • Register of Companies
  • Revenue Agency
  • INPS (National Social Security Institute)
  • INAIL (National Institute for Insurance against Accidents at Work)
  • where applicable, SCIA (Certified Notification of Commencement of Activity) for the SUAP (One-Stop Shop for Productive Activities)

One-Stop Shop for Productive Activities (SUAP)

The network of One-Stop Shops for Productive Activities (SUAP) supports businesses by offering a single digital channel for managing all the authorizations and licenses required to start an economic activity. Through an integrated online procedure, SUAP offices coordinate administrative requirements related to health and safety, environmental protection, pollution control and urban planning compliance, reducing administrative fragmentation.

ZES Digital One-Stop Shop (S.U.D. ZES)

The S.U.D. ZES coordinates the administrative procedures required for the creation, location, expansion or modification of production facilities within the Single ZES areas.

In addition to production-related aspects, it is also responsible for building works and territorial transformations related to the investment.

In cases provided for by law, the S.U.D. ZES also performs the functions of the SUAP, centralizing authorizations and administrative requirements in order to reduce processing times and administrative fragmentation.
